Are Greek soccer teams on fire or what?
I visited Greece last month, and I was amazed when I heard the number of famous players who now play for greek teams. We all remember Greece were the Euro 2004 champions, so this has seemed to have positively influenced their international reputation. I searched the web, and here is what I found. Olympiakos has top performers of great calibre, such as Galletti, Dudu, Kovacevic, Nikopolidis, Leto, Raul Bravo, Belluschi, Diogo, Antzas and Djordjevic. Panathinaikos have signed Brazil’s captain and former Arsenal player, Gilberto Silva. AEK has Rivaldo, Kyrgiakos, Basinas and Majstorovic. Aris signed Valencia’s Mario Regueiro just days before releasing Marcio Amoroso. Sergio Conceicao, Contreras, Muslimovic, and Pablo Garcia now play for PAOK. Panionios have just signed Alvaro Recoba and Deportivo’s Fabien Estoyannov. Finally, I found out that Larissa have players such as Zurawski, Solano, Laurent Robert and Emile Mpenza. Quite a surprise, don’t you think??

There’s no doubt that a lot of the players that you’ve listed are superbly talented and have raised the level of football in the Super League Greece. Some of the players listed above were at one point listed as some of the best players in the world! However, ALL the players listed above with considerable talent are waaaaaaay past their prime. As a matter of fact, I’m not even sure any of these players are under 28 years old! Again, I completely agree that the influx of players has raised the bar and that all the players are very good… BUT THEY’RE OOOOOOOLLLLLLLDDDD!
I would have to say Or what
