Argentina or Portugal?

Argentina and Portugal. Which is top ranked? And which is world champions ?How many famous players were in these teams in history? Which soccer team is better?

Argentina is ranked higher but skill wise it is Portugal all the way across the board

Argentina is number 1 in the world while Portugal is like number 3 or 2. Argentina has 2 world cups while Portugal has none. Portugal´s most famous is Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina has many, many, many Maradona, Messi, Tevez, and least goes on and on.
i have to admitt that argentina had a better past but because c.ronaldo is in portugal, it will be hard for argentina to continue winnning and getting better…i think that right now portugal is better but argentina WAS better but only through maradona…
Overall, it will have to be Argentina.
Argentina have won 2 World Cups in the past and are a force of producing endless amount of talented players. Even more evident now as their U-21 team have won multiple Youth WC’s in recent years and they are exporting players to Europe on a consistent basis.
Argentina has had quite a few famous players, Maradona being the most notable one,Di Stéfano, Kempes, Pasarella, Batistuta….
Portugal are currently in a golden generation where they have good talented players coming out and producing very highly. The most notable player in the past for me is Eusebio….followed by Figo…..though that more an opinion.
I think historically and at the moment, talent from Argentina is stronger from that in Portugal but it does not mean that if the national teams play eachother, Argentina will always win. Other things go into it that just having talented players in football.
Portugal! Argentina is past! little Messi cant be compared to Diego ‘GOD’ Maradona!

Argentina is always above portugal in FIFA ranking.
Argentinas olympic team is current champion and also their u-21 team is world champion.
Argentina has thousands of famous players ( Maradona, Kempes, Batistuta, Pasarella, Di Stefano, Messi, Krespo, Veron, Xavier Zanetti, Kanicca, Ruqelme, Saviola, K.Lopez, Cambiasso, Abel Balbo, Ortega and so on….
Portugal have 3-4 famous players Eisebio, Figo, Ronaldo, Deco and thats all…
Up to now Argentina and Portugal played 6 matches. Argentina won 4 and Portugal won 1…and 1 draw.. And all these 6 matches were played at Portugal stadiums..
Now you decide who is better:) Argentina of course. Dont forget that theres 7 super teams in the world. Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, England and France. Portugal has to increase working to reach these teams in future
